Joint Committee report on Human Rights and the Regulation of AI

“AI systems pose particular risks to privacy and personal data….This threatens the right of privacy of people in the UK and elsewhere” (Paragraph 45).

Joint Committee report on Human Rights and the Regulation of AI also highlights the complexity of balancing privacy with other rights and interests, and the difficulties faced by different actors in the AI lifecycle who are/will be required to make these complex balancing decisions when developing and deploying AI systems (see Paragraph 40).
